If you haven't noticed, summer has been in full swing all over the Empire State. The last few weeks have been filled with above-normal temperatures and humidity, which isn't something that most New Yorkers are used to.

While it does get warm in the Northeast, we don't typically get extremely high temperatures, which leads to one of the reasons why our summers are so wonderful - we have very comfortable weather, which makes it exciting to get outside and enjoy things. However, that's not what we've seen the last few weeks, as high temp records have been set across the state and folks have been seeking relief for weeks.

After a long string of days with temperatures above 90 degrees, a massive cool down is on its way to the Empire State.

But a key question you always have to ask when you are in Upstate New York is, does this cool down mean we'll get some of that white stuff falling?

New York Meteorologist Makes Bold Weather Prediction

Chief Meteorologist for FOX 40 WICZ-TV in New York's Southern Tier, Mark Tarello, is very familiar with the snow that falls in the Empire State. Given that he has so many years of experience with predicting the weather in one of the snowiest regions in the United States, his recent forecast on social media was quite surprising.

In all actuality, it's not that surprising. We know that Western New York and the Southern Tier get a lot of snow in the winter, but come on, we know it's not going to snow in July or August, maybe.

We have plenty of summer left for you to make the most of it. So get outside and do something fun.
