Tara Witchtowski Is This Week’s Hometown Hero

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, brought to you by Batavia Downs Gaming with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero has served in the Army National Guard and the Air Force Reserves.  It’s Tara Wichtowski!

Tara joined the army national guard in 2000. Her first activation was on 9/11 where she responded to the terror attack in NYC and assisted with search and recovery operations as well as security.  In 2004 She was deployed to Afghanistan where she served in country for 12 months as a civil affairs specialist.

In 2008 after completing her army tour, she joined the air force reserves and in 2010 became AGR and has been serving there since. She is now the Commanders right hand working for Commanders support Staff.

This week, we are proud to name her our Hometown Hero of the week!
