Johnson has seemed to always make clutch plays for the Bills
Taron Johnson was a 4th-round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 (the same year the Bills drafted Josh Allen) and has been with the team ever since. Last year, for the first time, he was named a second-team All-Pro by the AP.
One of his biggest plays was easily the 2021 goal-line interception of Lamar Jackson in the second round of the playoffs that he returned for a touchdown. That 101 yard pick-six turned out to be the difference in the game and launched the Bills into the Conference Championship against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Bills extended Taron Johnson for three years
With so many cuts and free agency losses this year, it's refreshing to see a great player that the Bills are going to be able to keep around and be a cornerstone for their defense for another couple of years.
Adam Schefter broke the news that Taron has been extended for another 3 years with the Bills.

Johnson is now the highest paid nickel back in the league
Johnson's agent has confirmed that it is a 3-year $31 million dollar deal. That makes him the highest paid nickel back in the entire NFL. It will help to provide a little veteran leadership in a very depleted secondary for the Buffalo Bills.
