Kim Pegula was ruled incapacitated by the court and her husband would be in charge of her "person and property".

It is sad news and Terry has taken the next step in making sure that the Buffalo Bills stays in the family in case anything were to happen. Tim Graham of The Athletic was the first to report the news that Terry's oldest daughter from his first marriage, Laura, has been given a percentage of the Buffalo Bills.

Given the league’s requirement that every controlling owner submit an annual succession plan that names the person who would take over if the controlling owes dies or becomes legally incapacitated, this implies that Laura is the named successor to Terry. While that can change, it points to Terry eventually assigning the team to Laura", according to NBSsports.com.

Laura was on hand when the Buffalo Sabres introduced Lindy Ruff as the new head coach of the team last week. It was rare that any fans saw spottings of Laura in Buffalo beforehand.

No matter what anyone says about owning a sports team in Buffalo, the Pegula's are great people. They are and have always been approachable for fans, kind and honestly, are supporters of Buffalo. The Pegula's made sure that the Bills stayed right here in Western New York when the there was a threat of the team possibly leaving if someone else bought them.

This is so much more than sports.

Wishing the Kim and the entire Pegula family the best.
