Snow Possible on Thanksgiving Day in New York State
We're just over three weeks away from Thanksgiving and now that we're past Halloween, we will start to see a lot of Christmas and holiday themed decorations around. Even some Christmas music in the air.
While some people may want to get into that holiday spirit early, the temperatures will feel more like May or June, than they will November.
Temperatures are forecasted to be in the 70's for many parts of New York State this Friday and Saturday, while temps should remain warm through Monday in Western New York.
However, we know that snow is on its way sooner, rather than later. Snow has fallen in parts of the state already but could we be getting snow on Thanksgiving?
While it's still very early, there are long-range models which do suggest that snow will fall in Western and Upstate New York on Thanksgiving Day.
Mike Cejka of WIVB in Buffalo shared this tweet.
Snow on Thanksgiving isn't exactly something we have seen many times, although it has happened before.
It still remains to be seen if we get snow before Thanksgiving, but the weather will get colder one week from now. The forecast calls for temperatures in the 30's and 40's for the middle of November, which means snow will be possible for that part of the month.
If you love the warmer weather, then certainly enjoy the next five to seven days, because it appears by next weekend, those warm temps will be long gone and we will be dealing with continuouweather cold weather.
