Monday was locker clean out day for the Buffalo Sabres at the First Niagara Center.  Things went as expected, except for Derek Roy's comment about coach Lindy Ruff and how he shouldn't criticize players outside of the locker room.  Is Lindy right in doing this? I don't think it's that bad!!

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of criticism regarding the Buffalo Sabres management and coaching as being the reason for the team's mediocrity.  Everywhere you go you hear things like....players are tired of playing for Lindy, management hasn't made the best money moves or player acquisitions etc...   etc.... . I understand that in most other NHL cities Ruff and possibly Regier would have been shown the door years ago, but  I look at it this way.....we have a new regime in town now and a new focus.  Pegula and Co. seem to believe in Lindy and Darcy.  I think Darcy has made promising acquisitions that should result in the Sabres becoming a force to reckon with in the NHL.  Drafting Marcus Foligno, Tyler Myers,  etc....Swinging trades that got the Sabres Robyn Regehr, Cody Hodgeson,  & Ville Leno.  ( Who some in Buffalo pass judgement on way too quickly...we are usually quick to do that)  As far as coaching and management,  I'm ok with that up to this point.  I do feel that there are a handful players that need to hit the road.  Here are my Top 3......In my humble opinion, this guy may be the weakest player on the roster....
1. Mike Weber- Why is this guy still on the ice?  I'll answer my own question.  He is affordable and he has some NHL experience. Guhhhh...big deal, bring up an inexperienced guy like Brayden McNabb.  Everytime Weber is on the ice I worry.  He had a plus/minus of -19  (which isn't a good thing).  He has a total of five goals since being drafted by buffalo in 2006.
2. Derek Roy - this guy used to show flashes of brilliance, but as of late that brilliance must be out scouting talent in the Chippewa bars.  Derek Roy hopefully will make another NHL team real happy one day.  He puts up decent numbers, but I feel like he may be a prima donna.....This season was tough for Roy, but he's a good player and the Sabres will get good value for him

3. Jochen Hecht- This dude is falling into the Tim Connolly zone.  Always injured! Although look at Connolly now...lol. But seriously, Hecht is up there in age for hockey players, he's beaten up and he's wasting a roster space.  How long will they old on to this guy, let him go.....
