For me, first dates should be at a place that allow you to be able to talk and not be crazy expensive. Movies are ok but, you can't really get to know your date. Here are some affordable and fun date ideas!

Not only are they very afordable, but, they are fun! It allows you to talk to your date and there is cold beer!

Price Point: Week-day tickets are as inexpensive as $7 per ticket! Weekend games are under $20! Add in food and you've got a great date experience for under $100.

The Date: Bike Ride

There are a bunch of great bike trails around the Buffalo area. Some of them have hot dog stands or small restaurants along the way incase you and your date get hungry.

Price Point: If you own the bikes it's FREE! Pro-tip: pack a picnic basket and step up the romance!

The Date: The Buffalo Zoo

Very affordable and with the wide variety of animals that they have, there is always something fun to chat about.

The Date: WYRK Taste of Country (staff pick, :P )

Besides the fact that it is so fun! This is a great first date. It's very public! which is always good for a first date. The more people around the more comfortable it can be. Plus with 20,000 fans in attendance, there is some great people watching opportunites!

Price Point: Grandstand tickets are just $25/ea. and are available at tickets.com. If you're planning on making a night of it book a romantic suite at one of the many hotels downtown!

The Date: Erie County Fair

This is probably my favorite first date idea. It is a combination of all of the above. Food, animals, it's very public and there are tons of people for people watching and fun games to play and test your skills to impress your date with!

Price Point: Adult admission is $10 with parking costing between $2 and $5 depending on the day you attend.
