JDRF is the leading global funder of type 1 diabetes research.  Most of us know someone who has diabetes so helping bring awareness is important.  Diabetes is one of the most prevalent medical conditions in the United States and millions of people suffer from it in one form or another. My dad has diabetes so I have to be checked regularly  because both of my older sisters were diagnosed with Diabetes after hitting the age of 40.
