Help Is Available If You, or Someone You Love, Has a Problem With Gambling
Gambling can have a wide range of effects on your life. So if you or someone you know has been negatively impacted by problem gambling, help is available in Western New York.
The Western Problem Gambling Resource Center (PGRC) is a program of the New York Council on Problem Gambling. They support people experiencing any degree of problems related to gambling.
Financial and legal problems can plague someone who has a problem with gambling. Plus, stress and anxiety, mental health issues, relationship conflicts and more can happen.
As the availability and accessibility of gambling increases, so do the problems associated with it.
It can often be overwhelming to address problem gambling, but services for gambling problems are more important now than ever before.
As the premier center for services related to problem gambling, Western PGRC provides individualized support to help overcome these issues. They will work with you to remove barriers to care.
The phone line at Western PGRC is there to help. When you call them at 716-833-4274, you'll be greeted by a helpful (and local) staffer who will be able to connect you with the support you need. Their services are totally free and financial support is available for counseling if you're uninsured or underinsured.
All calls are confidential.
Telehealth counseling is available too as you work with their specially-trained counselors, and support is available to accommodate non-English speaking clients as well.
