After millions of Taylor Swift fans across Western New York couldn’t get tickets to see her Eras Tour in Toronto, they originally only had two options: pay thousands of dollars for a resale ticket, or stay home and shed teardrops on their prospective guitars.

Then, the announcement of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film at select AMC Theatres on October 13th came out, giving area Swifties a glimmer of hope. Unfortunately, tickets for the limited release film were snatched up just as quickly as her concerts, even causing AMC’s website to enforce a waiting queue.

What’s a poor Taylor Swift lover who just wants to sing along and exchange friendship bracelets with fellow fans to do?

Transit Drive-In Will Show Taylor Swift Concert Film On Multiple Days

The Transit Drive-In Theatre in Lockport is working to make our Eras Tour dreams come true. They recently announced that they, too, will be showing the popular concert film.

But unlike the participating AMC Theatres, Transit Drive-In will be showing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film over four different weekends:

Transit Drive-In added in a Facebook post,

“This is a SPECIAL EVENT, and we will have special operations to ensure a safe, FUN, and memorable experience.”

Some of those operations include encouraging movie-goers to show up several hours before the film starts, and exiting the drive-in in a safe and timely manner so patrons seeing a different movie later can get in on time. (Also, if any of the concert attendees want to stay and see another movie, they’ll need to exit and purchase a new ticket to re-enter.)

Tickets for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film at Transit Drive-In will cost $19.89 for an adult ticket, and $13.13 for children (ages 5 to 11) and seniors. (Get it, fellow Swifties?) Definitely cheaper than the thousands of dollars it will now cost you to see her in Toronto.

Here’s the catch, though…

How Do You Get Tickets For The Taylor Swift Movie At Transit Drive-In?

As of right now, Transit Drive-In doesn’t have an online ticketing system. Normally, they don’t allow advance sale tickets, and you’d have to buy tickets at their box office in Lockport during their normal business hours.

However, they said on social media that their team is working around the clock to set up an advance sale system so Swifties can buy their tickets online.

So if you’re dying to see Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Film and missed out on getting tickets to one of the AMC showings, keep your eyes glued to their social media feeds (we will too), and be ready to pounce ASAP!
