$500,000 Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York State

While last night's Powerball drawing didn't turn any New Yorker into an instant millionaire (I already knew how I was going to spend that money), there were still plenty of "Big Money" winners across the state.

Powerball Winners In New York State

The New York State Lottery announced that there were several "Big Money" winning tickets sold from Saturday's Powerball drawing across the state.

The biggest winner came with the Powerball's 2nd chance game "Double Play," where one ticket sold in New York matched all 5 numbers but missed the Powerball number to win $500,000. The "Double Play" is where the numbers are drawn a 2nd time that night for an additional chance to win.

There were also 5 3rd-place winning tickets sold in New York State. Those tickets matched four out of five numbers and also had the Powerball number. Each one of those tickets won $50,000.

Here were the winning Powerball numbers from last night's drawing: 8-10-14-45-59 with a Powerball number of 05.

Did Anyone Win Last Night's Powerball drawing?

There was no grand prize winner from last night's Powerball drawing. That means the jackpot for the next drawing is now up to $457 million dollars. That jackpot would be one of the largest in New York State if someone from the Empire State were to win it.

The Powerball is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday Night around 10:59 pm EST.
