Work on the new Buffalo BIlls stadium was halted suddenly this week. The stadium, which will also be called Highmark Stadium like the current Bills home, is expected to be finished by 2026.

According to Glenn Coe, who has knowledge of the incident, "it was a pull tie on a rope used to guide beams into place that looked like a noose".

Workers were immediately stopped at the sight of the New Buffalo bills stadium that is being constructed in Orchard Park. Work is expected to resume today after the sudden stopage.

Gilbane | Turner, who is in charge of the construction, suspended work after the possible discovery of a hate symbol at the site of the new stadium. They released a very stern statement stating that these kinds of actions will not be tolerated. They started an investigation and said the following:

To send a clear message about how seriously we take this matter. We do not tolerate any act of bias or hate.”

Gilbane | Turner said an initial investigation found that it was not a symbol of hate. Orchard Park police said no criminal activity occurred and that the perceived symbol was not placed in a malicious manner. Additionally, police said they will not be investigating the incident further", according to WIVB.com.

Construction of the stadium has been fast, as the outer shell is mostly complete. No major delays are expected and the current timeline, by all accounts, remains on schedule.
