This week’s Hometown Hero comes to us from Tonawanda. He is a Sergeant in the Army and is currently serving in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He is this week’s Hometown Hero not only for his service but also for everything that he has sacrificed to ensure our freedom. It’s 23-year-old Vincent John Bartolomeo.

The US Army is about to make a stink over ink.

This week's Hometown Hero is 22-year-old Hamburg native Zachary Knorr. He's a specialist in the Army and was deployed to Afghanistan in January.

This Week’s Hometown Hero comes to us originally from the Town of Tonawanda. He is 21-year-old Kyle Lorenz, and he is an Army Specialist currently deployed in Afghanistan.

This week's Hometown Hero is Ted Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson is a member of the NYS Veterans Hall of Fame who fought in Vietnam and has earned a ton of awards. It's for that and a bunch of other reasons that he has been named this week's Hometown Hero!

This week's Hometown Hero comes to us originally from Tonawanda. He's 22-year-old Army Specialist Nicholas Kaiser!

Our Hometown Hero this week is Matthew LaPlante from Tonawanda. He is a Sergeant in the Army and is currently deployed in Iraq. One of the coolest things about him is that he joined with his brother Andrew and has been serving with him.

Casey is a former Staff Sergeant with the United States Army!  He served six years at Fort Bragg and comes to us from Randolph. We want to thank Casey for his brave service to his country!

We would like to send our sincere thanks to our Hometown Hero Of The Week!  This week it is Army Sgt. Josh Haslely. Originally from Newfane, Sgt Hasley is currently serving in Afghanistan.

Servicewomen in the Middle East had an extra special Valentine's Day this year, thanks to goodwill efforts of country's own Kellie Pickler.

For the first time, women in the armed forces will be moved into combat roles. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta will make the official announcement Thursday.

According to Fox News, General Norman Schwartzkopf has died.  He was best known as the commander of the U.S. led coalition that drove Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait in 1991.  He was 78 years old.
