What would the soundtrack of your childhood sound like?

For me or anyone else that grew up in the late 90's, that soundtrack would definitely include "Amazed' by Lonestar.

Released in March of 1999, the song would not only become the biggest hit of Lonestar's career but the biggest country hit of 1999 and one of the biggest country hits of the past 20 years.

"Amazed" was in the middle of its eight week run at #1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in early August of 1999. It spent NINE weeks at #1 on the Mediabase country chart; the only song that spent longer at #1 on that chart was "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw.

But it didn't stop there. The song was released to pop and AC radio by year's end and it reached #2 on the Billboard AC chart and #7 on the pop chart.

The song was off their Lonely Grill album and written by Marv Green, Chris Lindsey and Aimee Mayo.

"Amazed" was the first hit for Lonestar after John Rich had left the band one year earlier. John Rich would later form Big & Rich with Big Kenny in 2003.

I vividly remember this song being everywhere when I was a kid. I heard it every day on the bus home from school...getting engaged this summer, I now understand why so many people love it.
