The big day is almost here and across New York State, the ghouls and goblins are getting ready to make their rounds for candy!

If you grew up in, or have lived in New York State long enough, you know have had put on a coat over your Halloween costume at least once or twice. It is not ideal when you have worked so hard to have the perfect costume and, not to mention, trick or treating in snow is not easy!

But this year's weather has been pretty decent! Aside from a few storms this summer, the fall has been splendid in New York State. Will it hold up for October 31st?

There is some good news as we are less than ten days away from Halloween. The forecast for most areas is calling for MILD TEMPERATURES with a chance for showers.

Weather.com has a ten day forecast for portions of Central New York that is calling for a high of 69 on Halloween! With a slight breeze, this is shaping up to be a nice Halloween!

This year, if you have carved that pumpkin, you may want to try a new hack that some in New York State are using. It turns out, WD-40 is very good for keeping that Jack O Lantern in shape!

We were recently talking with some friends about how to keep pumpkins looking fresh after Halloween and after you have carved them with the kids. Someone mentioned that WD-40 is a great idea.
