Snow In Forecast This Weekend Across New York

Spring has sprung here in New York but that doesn't mean that Old Man Winter has gone away completely.

Hopefully, you have enjoyed the sun and 60s this week, but not to burst your Spring bubble, but snow is in the forecast for this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, we are going to see some light snow flurries Saturday Night into Sunday morning.

Here is what to expect this weekend across New York State.

Buffalo - Saturday there will be a mix of rain and snow, with more snow possible overnight into Sunday morning. We will see highs in the mid 40s with lows in the near freezing.

Rochester - Rain is expected all weekend long starting on Friday. We could see a slight change from rain to light snow on Saturday night. If the snow does happen, it wouldn't stick. Then it will be back to rain on Sunday.

Syracuse - Rain is expected the rest of the week with a slight chance of snow flurries on Saturday night into early Sunday morning. If it does snow, there will only be light flurries and then more rain on Sunday afternoon.

Binghamton - Rain is in the forecast for this week with a 30% chance of that rain turning into light snow Saturday night into Sunday morning.

Albany - There will be rain through the weekend with a possible light snow shower on Saturday night. The good news is that the rain and snow will be gone by Sunday and there will be a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday afternoon.

New York City - Rain will hit the city this week but then clear out by Saturday night. Sunday should be pretty decent with a mix of sun and clouds on tap with a high near 53 to wrap up the weekend.

The good news is that even with snow in the forecast, we won't get a lot of it and whatever we do get won't stick to the ground.
