BBB Warns Against Buffalo Online Company
The Better Business Bureau has issued a warning about an online company claiming to be operating out of Buffalo. There are 48 customer reviews for the company and ten reports to the BBB Scam Tracker.
Consumers report they placed orders with the site and never received the items and have been unable to contact anyone with the company. So far there have been complaints from 41 states claiming they paid for merchandise, but never received it. They say they received fake tracking numbers and were never able to get thru to customer service.
The BBB says all the phone numbers associated with the company have been disconnected and that the address listed on the website turns out to be a storage facility in Buffalo.
There are some consumers who say they did receive packages after months of waiting but based on the postage markings they appear to have come from overseas. Because of the complaint activity the company has received an F rating with the BBB.
The gearow website certainly looks legit in every way and with some great deals on outdoor and survival gear. But it seems to be a clearing house of items of all different types and maybe that should alone arouse suspicion. So buyer beware.
