This isn't the first time we have seen bear sightings in Western New York suburbs, but it's always noteworthy because of the danger a wild bear can bring.

According to the Cheektowaga Police Department's Facebook page, there has been a bear spotted near the Cheektowaga and Depew border, near the intersection of Sable Palm and George Urban Boulevard.

For those unsure where that is, it's near the Frosty's Ice Cream stand in Depew and a few minutes from the Depew Wegmans.

Police urge people to keep their distance from a bear if you spot one and to call your local police station.

Most know of the famous Amherst bear sightings during the 2010s and a black bear sighting in 2018.
