Buffalo Bills Off-Season Tracker: 2024

The Buffalo Bills are in off-season mode now, after another disappointing playoffs loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. This was the third straight season the Bills lost in the AFC Divisional round, as fans want and expect better results, given the heightened expectations.

The Bills are now faced with a daunting cap situation. It's not overwhelming but far from ideal. Spotrac estimates the Bills at -$50 million, which would have to result in restructured contracts for players like Josh Allen and perhaps a cap casualty or two to be cap compliant by the new league year.

The Bills off-season began right after their playoff loss, as they gave many players reserve-futures contracts. They include for Denver Broncos wide receiver, KJ Hamler.

As for coaching, the Bills made interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady the permanent gig, after going 7-2 in his games as OC. Buffalo also promoted linebackers coach Bobby Babich to defensive coordinator, but it's unsure if he will call plays or if head coach Sean McDermott will again.

On Wednesday, February 7th, reports the Bills hired former Saints passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Ronald Curry to work on their offensive staff.

The Bills also named Al Holcomb their new linebackers coach and Marcus West their new defensive line coach.

The next major thing on the planner for the Bills is the NFL Scouting Combine, which takes place February 26th to March 4th in Indianapolis.

NFL free agency begins March 13th at 4 pm, while the NFL Draft is April 25-27.
