Report: Bills Hosting The Patriots To Close Out 2022 Season
The Buffalo Bills full schedule release will take place at 8 pm tonight. In fact, the entire NFL schedule will drop at 8 pm.
While the schedule will be official at 8 pm, there have been many leaks and reports of the Bills schedule, which appear true.
The Bills will reportedly open the season at the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football on September 8th; which is the annual NFL opener that the Super Bowl champions host.
The Bills will also reportedly play at the Chicago Bears on Christmas Eve (1 pm) and at the Cincinnati Bengals the following week on Monday Night Football (8:15 pm),
According to Buffalo Rumblings, the Bills will also close out the season hosting the New England Patriots at Highmark Stadium. That game’s time and date is yet to be determined, which is normal for the week 18 game.
Most years, the Bills play at the Patriots between Christmas Eve and the end of the regular season, so this would be a rare occurrence to see the Bills hosting New England in the final week of the season.
It makes sense. All teams play division rivals in the final week of the season and the Bills and Patriots are rivals who met in the postseason last year. It was good odds that the Bills and Patriots would play one another to start or end the season in 2022.
The Bills will likely have few home games at 1 pm. They’re rumored to be playing quite a few prime time and nationally televised games.
