School Closures, Updated Business Hours In Western New York

Conditions are going to be icy and slick for your Thursday in Western New York, and some schools and businesses have modified their hours to prepare for the winter storm. 

Buffalo, New York is no stranger to these winter storms, including but not limited to snow, ice, freezing rain, subzero temperatures, and more. 

While most people are accustomed to these kinds of storms, it can cause some of us to dismiss these conditions as “the normal,” but meteorologist News 4 Mike Cejka posted on Twitter to give a little more insight into what kind of storm it is. 

“I don't believe that I eluded to this as a doomsday event, but considering the potential significant  impact for some of the region, with over an inch of liquid precip on the way, falling at a temp of freezing or below freezing for some. It's my job to prepare people.”

Many businesses and schools have announced closures and delays as they prepare for these existing conditions for Thursday.
