Finally! Good News If You Drive Lakeview Road
Finally some good news regarding Lakeview Road in the Town of Hamburg. It has been one of the hottest topics on social media and it one of the worst roads in Erie County. Lakeview Road is on the list of roads to get fixed.
It has become downright dangerous to drive this road. Weaving in and out of the mess that has been dubbed as "Potholeville" by one resident is just the norm for anyone that has to use Lakeview Rd.
In a news release sent to WYRK, Erie County Executive, Mark Poloncarz announced that Lakeview Rd is on the list to get milled and overlayed this spring.
The Hamburg District is preparing for mill and overlay on Lakeview Road (from Rte. 20 to Rte. 62 in the Village of Hamburg) and on Zimmerman Road (from Rte. 391 to Shero) and also has similar funds set aside for pavement preservation and crack sealing work.
I use this road a few times a week and am shocked that no one has been hurt or killed as a result of the weaving traffic.
