Last year, we were all cooped up in our houses at this time, and this year, it’s time to get out!  Maybe knock off that quarantine 15 with a little exercise.

Niagara Falls announced that they will be holding Zumba in the Park this summer.  It kicked off over the weekend and it’s going to run for the next 8-12 weeks.

The program is part of the "Create A Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative" and they say their goal is to create and increase access to physical activity in the city’s North End.

What is The Create A Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative?

The Create A Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative is a group of people who believe "If we want to improve the health and well-being of our city and its residents, change needs to start with an investment from the community itself."  They hope to do that with community events like walks, resident led projects, training, workshops, and more.

Zumba in the Park is just one of those events.  It'll be held at Wrobel Towers (800 Niagara Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14305) with instructors Nichole Becker and Cherish
Mostiller.  They've even got a DJ to spin the tunes with DJ All Star.

What is Zumba?

If you've never done Zumba, get prepared for one of the most fun exercise classes ever.  They're Latin dance fitness classes that are made up of high and low intensity intervals with Latin dance moves set to Latin music.  Their motto is literally, "Ditch the workout—Join the party!” but don't be fooled.  You will get a workout with this class.
