Here Are The 20 Sabres Games Rick Jeanneret Will Call In His Final Season
The Buffalo Sabres are about to embark on their 2021-2022 regular season. The first game will be played tomorrow evening at KeyBank Center against the Montreal Canadiens at 7 pm.
Sabres fans aren't overly optimistic for how the team will do this year, since they have one of the most inexperienced rosters in the NHL and finished last this past season, but there is one thing that fans are looking forward to: play-by-play man, Rick Jeanneret.
In case you missed the news, this will be Jeanneret's final season calling games for the Sabres. He's retiring after season, which will cap off a 51-year career calling NHL games in Buffalo.

Dan Dunleavy will still call most games this season, but Jeanneret will call 20 games, including the season opener on Thursday against Montreal.
Here are the 20 games that Rick will be calling this season for the Sabres.
Rick will call six games in the month off April to close out the regular season, with the last coming on Friday, April 29th against the Chicago Blackhawks at 7 pm.
I know the Sabres chances of making the playoffs this season are low, but man, I think all Sabres fans would give almost anything to see them make the postseason in Rick's final year calling games. He was part of my childhood and every ice or street hockey game we had growing up, my friends and I would always try to emulate his goal and save calls.
He's without a doubt a Hall of Fame announcer.
