Liam Hemsworth Wasn’t at Grammys With Miley Cyrus Because He’s in the Hospital
Miley Cyrus showed up at the 2019 Grammys adorably accompanied by her parents, Billy Ray and Tish. While that was cute, however, fans were rightfully wondering why her husband, Liam Hemsworth, was apparently nowhere in evidence.
The couple, who just married in December, aren't already having marital spats—or, at least, it does not seem that way. According to Hemsworth's Isn’t It Romantic costar Rebel Wilson, the actor is under the weather with an undisclosed illness.
“[Liam] was in hospital overnight, so hopefully he will be fine,” Wilson told Extra on Sunday (Feb. 10). “He texted us this morning."
Additionally, a representative told People that Hemsworth wasn't feeling well and had to miss a press day on Sunday.
There are no further details about his condition; however, the illness probably is not life-threatening, as Cyrus and her parents did not appear troubled at the awards show.
Cyrus joined pop singer Shawn Mendes onstage to perform his hit single “In My Blood,” and also teamed up with Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Little Big Town and Katy Perry to tribute her godmother Dolly Parton, who has been named the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year. She performed Parton's classic "Jolene" with the legend, bringing down the house.
Although Hemsworth missed quite the party, it seems he'll be on the mend soon enough. The couple are scheduled to Los Angeles premiere of Isn’t It Romantic on Monday.
