
Western New York Country Fans Sending Prayers To 1990’s Icon
Yet another popular country star has had to cancel some shows due to illness. Fans in Western New York are sending prayers to Mark Chestnutt in the hopes that he will fell better soon and get back on the road. Mark Chestnutt was an icon for fans of traditional country music in the 1990's. His Texas style of music mixed with some Western swing is some of the best of all time.
Recently, Chris Stapleton and Kieth Urban were among some of the bigger names in country music that were sidelined with some sort of illness that kept them from being able to sing. It was not that long ago that Luke Bryan did the same thing after he powered through vocal issues brought on by a round of COVID.

As far as Mark Chetnutt is concerned, there are reports this week that he was actually hospitalized and had to cancel.
Taste of Country reports that: "The head of Chesnutt's management team, Tony Conway, tells the Eastern New Mexico News that the 62-year-old "Too Cold at Home" singer was suffering from "low sodium count and extreme high blood pressure."
Friends In Low Places
Even if you are not a huge fan of country music, you know the song "Friends In Low Places". It was made internationally famous by Garth Brooks and sold millions of copies worldwide. But did you know that Mark Chestnutt had the song before it was redone by Garth? Mark has had a slew of massive hits and it was not that long ago that he made his way through Western New York. Mark was also on the George Strait Country Music Festival when it came to Buffalo the day that Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney were arrested.
