Massive Home Explosion In Hamburg, New York

There was an incredible, and fatal, explosion at a home in the Hamburg, New York area on Monday night.

Crews fought huge flames and one person was killed when the house blew up. A few first responders were taken to the hospital after being injured.

What We Know About The Incident

According to reports from Channel 4 in Buffalo, "a ‘catastrophic’ house explosion in Lake View on West Ln. Hamburg PD reports, one male was pulled from the scene and is at ECMC. “Additional victims” have not been located yet. They do not believe children are involved.

As of late Monday, there were many firefighters on the scene. According to a post from The Southtowns Scanner on Facebook: "Dozens of fire/rescue crews remain on scene on West Lane in Lake View after a home explosion occurred and flames spread to another house. A major search and rescue operation remains underway".
