Miss New York 2017 Is From Amherst!

Congratulations to the newly crowned Miss New York 2017!  Her name is Gabrielle Walter and she's a native of Amherst, NY!

She was crowned Miss WNY in February and just competed in the Miss New York pagent over Memorial Day Weekend.  According to WKBW, Gabrielle is 24 years old and she plans to take this title and run with it.

She's a University at Buffalo Law School student and she plans to spend her summer working at Connors LLP.

Her community platform is called DreamUp New York, which works with disenfranchised children to identify their dreams and brainstorm concrete steps to make them a reality.
