New York State Troopers Looking For Aggressive Drivers Today

There are some people that drive wild on some of the major routes in New York State and they are trying to crack down on aggressive drivers.

You know when you drive there are people that speed, but then there are people who speed while weaving in and out of traffic and making just terrible and dangerous decisions while driving out there on the roads.

• It is Speed Week in New York State
• That means that speeding and aggressive driving will be a priority for New York State Troopers.
• The initiative will go through June 9, 2024.
• Speeding is the cause for one third of car related deaths in New York State.
• State Police issued 10,478 speeding tickets when they did this last year.

State Police Superintendent Steven G. James said, “The goal of this campaign and our traffic enforcement efforts all year long is to reduce speed-related crashes and improve safe travel for drivers and passengers on New York’s roads. State Troopers will be highly visible during this traffic enforcement period and throughout the peak summer driving period, targeting those who drive recklessly and put others in danger.”
