Apparently, for one New York state resident, they can expect to see one – starting now and for the rest of their life.
The New York Lottery announced that there was one second-prize ticket sold for the June 25 CASH4LIFE drawing.
According to the NY Lottery, the ticket was sold in Mount Vernon at 4th Ave Snack Plus. The ticket was worth a guaranteed $1,000 per week for life, adding up to $52,000 per year. That is almost equivalent to the median income in New York, which is $54,000. The average salary, however, is $64,741, according to Zippia.
But hey, money is money! Think about how many gallons of gas you can buy with that (I did the math, and it’s about 10,400 gallons of gas if gas is $5/gallon).
You can double check the winning numbers here.
The winning numbers for the CASH4LIFE game are drawn from a field of one to 60. The Cash Ball, however, is drawn from a separate field of one to four.
If you’re feeling lucky, you too could win cash for life! The CASH4LIFE drawing takes place every Monday and Thursday around 9 p.m.
If you do win, the draw game prize of the specified amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.
