Rabies Case Discovered In Niagara County

There's been a case of rabies found in Niagara County.

According to WIVB, a red fox found dead on Seaman Road in Hartland was found to carry rabies.

The animal was taken for testing as part of a routine surveillance. The trapper who caught the animal was also tested for caution.

People are asked to be cautious when dealing with wildlife and making sure their pets are properly vaccinated.
