Following the New England Patriots Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was asked about reports he was considering retirement.  He seemed surprised that anyone knew that.  But now comes word about what he might be considering.

So what would one of the NFL's all-time greatest tight end's give up football for?  Gronkowski may be thinking about an acting career.  A report on ESPN said that actors Sylvester Stallone and Dwayne Johnson advised Gronk that he could make millions by starring in action movies.

Gronkowski has already had small roles in the movies Entourage and The Clapper.  He's made numerous appearances on The Family Guy and other TV shows and TV commercials.  But a starring role in action movies?  He really may be thinking about it.

Dwayne Johnson was a defensive tackle on the Miami Hurricanes national championship football team, but injuries prevented him from playing pro football.  Could Gronk follow his lead?

Gronkowski has had nine surgeries during his NFL career; three on his back, four on his forearm, one on his knee and one on his ankle.  Has he had enough?  I guess we'll have to wait and see.
