Sad Day For Buffalo…..#7 Is Gone!

I think it's safe to say most of us Buffalonians are walking around today with very heavy hearts.  Yesterday we got the news that one of our beloved French Connection members, Rick Martin passed away of a heart attack while driving in Clarence. My earliest memory of Rick is from the early '70's when my friend and I delivered newspapers to Rick Martin's home in our neighborhood. Rick always had a smile, an autograph, and a kind word for all the kids in the neighborhood.  Any Sabres fan who lived through the French Connection era, remembers the wicked slapshot of Rick Martin. He still holds a number of Sabres scoring records, including most hatricks (21).  God Bless the family of Rick Martin.  Rest In Peace Rico!
