Believe it or not, Christmas is just a little over a month away.  Santa is busy in the North Pole getting ready for the big night.  But that doesn't mean he doesn't have time to celebrate one of his favorite things - toy trains.

National Lionel Train Day is held each December to celebrate the multi-generational activity of operating toy trains. Lionel Trains around the Christmas tree have been part of Western New York’s holiday traditions for 120 years and continue to inspire countless family memories. - Press release from Artcraft Toy Trains

As we get ready for the holiday, many people still put toy trains under the tree.  It's a tradition that has lasted for years.  Come out and see some real train sets, Santa and a real reindeer as they all get together to celebrate National Lionel Toy Train Day at the Hamburg Train Depot.

He'll be there on Saturday, December 3rd starting at 10 am at the historic Erie Railroad Depot, located at the corner of Scott and Union Streets.  Santa will stick around until 5 pm and the reindeer will be there until noon.  Unfortunately, the reindeer will have to take off early to get to flight school.

Here's one of the coolest parts...they encourage you to bring your own cameras to get free photos with the big guy.  How often does that happen these days?  Visiting Santa can turn into an expensive visit if you aren't careful.  But these photos (with your camera) are free.
