Lake effect snow has shown it's face in Buffalo today in a big way.  There have already been closings all over WNY and now the Skyway is added to that list.

One of the main routes for commuters has been closed down already for today (1/6).  Officials have made the announcement that route 5 is going to be closed from Ridge Road to Church Street for the foreseeable future.

We are currently seeing heavy snow and whiteout conditions in downtown Buffalo as the thin band of lake effect snow sits above us.
