This is the problem with America.

We can expect results that require no effort because things are handed to us. This is going to sound crazy to you.

A teacher was fired when she said she was giving out 0's when students did hand in their assignments.

Diane Tirado has been teaching 8th grade history for years and recently assigned her kids to an Explorer notebook project and gave the kids 2 weeks to complete the project. When a couple of kids did not hand it in, they got a big, ole goose egg.

The school, though has a “no zero policy" and the lowest possible grade that teachers can give students is a 50.

She refused to give any student a 50% for no effort, so they fired her.

A grade in Mrs. Tirado’s class is earned. I’m so upset because we have a nation of kids that are expecting to get paid and live their life just for showing up and it’s not real. The reason I took on this fight was because it was ridiculous. Teaching should not be this hard,” Diane said.
