There are plenty of bars and/or restaurants to visit in the area for St. Paddy's Day but here are some of the best spots to hit.

The Blackthorn Restaurant & Pub

One of the best around. Located on Seneca Street in South Buffalo, The Blackthron is a St. Paddy's staple and their Irish Beer Soup is heavenly.

Brennan's Browery Bar

This place is up in Williamsville on Transit Road. Brennan's is like taking a step back in time with their old seating and decor. A popular St. Patrick's Day stop in the suburbs.

Cole's

Located on Elmwood, Cole's is another super popular place for beer and food lovers alike.

Conlon's

This South Buffalo favorite is only open two days a week (Thursday-Friday) but it's worth the stopping in, especially this time of year. Located on Abbott.

Darcy McGee's

Located in the heart of downtown on Franklin, Darcy's is one of the most well-known places for St. Patrick's Day celebrations. If you're a proud Irishman, this is a must-stop.

Doc Sullivan's

South Buffalo shows up once again and Doc's is one of the most popular around for anything St. Patrick's Day. This place gets very crowded during St. Paddy's Day celebrations.

Dwyer's Irish Pub

Back to the suburbs, Dwyer's is located on Webster Street in North Tonawanda. North town favorite.

Eddie Brady's

Eddie Brady's is located on Genesee Street and is a hugely popular place for this time of year. They recommend reservations for prime times or large parties.

Gene McCarthy's

The Old Ward's own Gene McCarthy's is on Hamburg Street in Buffalo. You can say they take St. Patrick's Day to a whole new level at this great establishment.

The Irishman

The Irishman is another suburb staple. They have two locations -- one in Williamsville and the other in East Aurora.

J.P. Fitzgerald's

This is the place to be for St. Patrick's Day in Hamburg, located on Clark Street. J.P.'s is a great spot for drinks with friends for St. Patrick's Day but also a full restaurant if you're just looking for food.

Kelly's Korner

Kelly's is a hidden gem, located on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. It's pretty small but worth the stop for the party and the food is phenomenal, especially their wings and fingers.

Macgruder's

Located on Broadway in Depew, Macgruder's is a popular spot and the food, along with the drinks, are the story.

Potter's Field Restaurant & Pub

South Buffalo once again -- Potter's is actually right on the border of Buffalo and West Seneca, located on Potters Road. I live pretty close to this gem and it gets packed most night, but especially during the St, Paddy's Day holiday. Definitely worth a stop in.

Radigan's

Formerly Jack Devine's, Radigan's is located on Southwestern Blvd. in Hamburg, It's down the road from New Era Field. Drinks and live music make up the atmosphere.
