The Buffalo Zoo Invites You To Say Goodbye To Jothi And Surapa
The Buffalo Zoo is preparing to say goodbye to their beloved elephants and they'd like to invite you to come say goobye too.
It feels like it was just yesterday that we were watching Surapa hanging out at the zoo eating a pumpkin. Now she and Jothi are leaving us and heading to the New Orleans Zoo.
In August it was announced that they would be making a transfer to The Audubon Zoo in New Orleans because it was better equipped to take care of the animals. While they will certainly be missed here in Buffalo, the zoo believes that it is the right thing to do for the animals.
So now, it is up to us to give them a sendoff.
The Zoo has been preparing for their move and it will be here soon. They said in a release that they would like to invite the public to join them in saying goodbye:
