This Is The Best Photo From The Blue Angels In Buffalo This Weekend [PIC]
The first-ever Buffalo on the Buffalo Waterfront happened this past weekend at the Outer Harbor in Buffalo and while there were problems with the weather on Saturday, Sunday proved to be just as organizers imagined as the United States Navy's Blue Angels took to the skies over Western New York.
Saturday featured fog and very low cloud cover, which caused the Blue Angels to fly for spectators, as the dangers were too great. The clouds were at a height of 1,000 ft. and they needed at least 1,500 ft. to perform their stunts.
Sunday was awesome, however. Even if you didn't attend the show on Sunday, I'm sure you heard the Blue Angels overhead during the afternoon and we had some great sights at our home in South Buffalo.
The best photo of the entire weekend was probably this one that Adam Draudt took, which was shared by WIVB's Kelsey Anderson.
Talk about a perfect photo. I love the M&T Bank building just behind the Blue Angels, which just so happens to be the tallest building in downtown Buffalo.
The Airshow usually takes place in Niagara Falls at the airbase, but due to tighter restrictions because of the pandemic, it couldn't be held there, so everyone had to make last-minute changes to hold the event at the Outer Harbor.
Airshow director Ben Canetti says that since the airbase can't hold the airshow every year, they might sprinkle some at the Outer Harbor from now on to make the event happen more regularly.
