Kip Moore is a fan favorite in country music. I mean, he sings, writes, plays guitar and takes on ticket scalpers. He also will be in town at Artpark this Friday night with Mitchell Tenpenny and Tyler Rich.

But do you remember Kip Moore's first ever single? It was actually a while ago, back in 2011 with a song called "Mary Was the Marrying Kind."

The song was released in March of 2011 as Kip's debut single. Unfortunately, it only peaked at #40 on the Mediabase country chart and #45 on the Billboard country chart that summer.

Written by Kip, Dan Couch and Scott Stepakoff, "Mary Was the Marrying Kind" is a song that matches passion with regret, which let's face it, we all have regret of some sort.

Even though "Mary Was the Marrying Kind" never turned into a big hit for Kip, he rebounded with "Something' 'Bout a Truck" that reached #1 the next year and has had five total top 10 hits since.

Can't wait for Friday night when he's performing live at Artpark.
