When given the choice between fight or flight, this U-Haul driver chose flight.

In 2024, it is safe to assume that you are being watched at all times. Whether it is through surveillance footage, a phone camera, or a ring cam, there is a good chance that you are on camera somewhere.

That is surely the case for this U-Haul driver, who attempted to flee the scene of a crash in Western New York over the weekend.

The U-Haul was traveling down Woltz Avenue in the City of Buffalo on February 18 when the roads were icy and snow covered. It’s unclear if the U-Haul driver lost control of the vehicle due to the road conditions or if the driver was speeding.

What is clear is that the driver collided with a parked gray vehicle, sending it sliding down the road, as the U-Haul continued off-road and grazed a nearby house.

Landing just before a bush with a caved in front bumper, the U-Haul driver is seen jumping out of the car and running away from the scene.

At least it seems like the driver will be held accountable in some way; after all, the incident is all caught on surveillance cameras.
