Sam's Club will also stay closed on Thanksgiving.

Walmart says they want their employees to spend time with their families this year.

“We know this has been a trying year, and our associates have stepped up. We hope they will enjoy a special Thanksgiving Day at home with their loved ones,” said Furner. “We are certainly thankful to our people for all of their efforts.”

In addition to the Thanksgiving news, Walmart also announced that they will be handing out another round of cash bonuses to its employees this summer.

Full-time employees will receive $300, while part-time or temporary employees will receive $150.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, Walmart might be the biggest retailer staying closed on the holiday, but according to The Black Friday, many stores have already said they're staying closed on Thanksgiving.
