WATCH: Clay Moden’s Backyard Buck Encounter

Sunday was one of the best days we have had for deer...in our yard. While we were carving Hank's pumpkin for Halloween, I noticed this big buck following a group of does.

It's archery season around here and even though we live n the Town of Hamburg where hunting is allowed, we are too close to other houses and it was pouring rain.

Even though I have been bow hunting for 26 years, it still is exciting to watch deer move and this time of the year (the rut) is something special to witness. He may not be a buck I will ever hang on the wall or put in the freezer, but no doubt, he will be one I remember as the buck Hank and I watched Halloween weekend of 2017!
