The past week has been a crazy one, weather-wise, for Western New York. We have had snow, winds, frozen temperatures, and so much more.

We have also seen at least one weather alert almost every day, from lake effect snow warnings to winter storm warnings, to cold weather warnings, and winter weather advisories.

But today will be different!

No Winter Weather Alerts For Western New York

For the 1st time in a long time, there are no weather alerts issued for Western New York. No worries about lake effect snow dropping 2 feet of snow. No worries about temperatures falling to below zero. No worries about 50-mile-per-hour winds causing white-out conditions for your commute.

Of course, it is not all great news when it comes to the weather in the 716.

Western New York Weather Forecast

The high on Friday is only supposed to reach 8 degrees. The wind chills could be in the negatives. This could trigger another cold weather advisory for the area, but as of right now, we are free and clear of alerts.

Bitter Cold Expected In February Across Western New York

It looks like this winter will be one of the coldest winters in recent history across Western New York. The extended forecast for Buffalo has temperatures well below freezing for much of February. In fact, the next time we could see a high temperature above 32 degrees might not happen until after Valentine's Day.
