Your 5-11 Year Old Can Set An Appointment For Their Vaccine Here Today

If you've decided that you're ready for your 5-11 year old to get vaccinated from COVID, you can begin with appointments here as early as today.

The CDC has recommended that children between the ages of 5-11 should begin getting vaccinated as soon as possible.  At this point they're recommending the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine.  The dosage is a little smaller for children of that size.

If you choose to get your child vaccinated, you can set up an appointment at select Rite Aid, Walgreens (starting Saturday 11/5), and Wegman's Pharmacy locations (starting Friday 11/4).  If you're planning to choose one of these locations for your vaccination, you will need to make an appointment first.

Keep in mind that an adult will have to make the appointment for the minor and the adult will need to accompany the minor at the time the vaccine is administered.

At Walgreens, you will need to make your appointment on their website, through their app or by calling 1-800-Walgreens.  They will then direct you to the store that can administer your particular vaccine.
