Buffalo Restaurant Shocks Customers by Closing for Good
The Buffalo restaurant scene is cherished by residents of Western New York. The people who are in the food service industry in Buffalo are hard-working and loyal. They're also supportive of other restaurants in the area; it's a close-knit group.
If you have lived in Buffalo for the last 30-40 years, then you know about all the great past restaurants that have since closed up for whatever reason. Restaurants (and bars) that were popular among locals and live on in memories.
Unfortunately, it appears we have to add another longtime restaurant to that list; one that has been around for the past 40 years.
If you go to the Ziggy's Tacos & Subs Google page, it says that it is "temporarily closed." The website link is no longer working, however, and since there has been no announcement from Ziggy's on their website or Facebook page, this likely means they have closed for good.
According to people with knowledge, on the Former Buffalo Restaurants & Bars Facebook group, Ziggy's closed last week and this because of a lost lease...again, not confirmed but some potential insight on what happened.
Ziggy's has been around for 40 years. They have been serving Buffalo customers for decades and were active posting on Facebook last year. This news comes as a shock to many of its customers.
They were located on Main Street in the City of Buffalo.
Two weeks ago, Compass Run in the City of Buffalo closed its doors for good, but the door was left open for a potential return in some capacity in the future.
