Would I classify myself as a 'runner'? I mean, I suppose. I go on runs a lot, nothing serious though. I'm not trying to time myself. Out of all the Buffalo big runs between the Buffalo Marathon all the way through the Turkey Trot--I'll do the less serious ones.

The ones where no one is judging me for drinking a beer mid-run.

The Shamrock Run. The Turkey Trot. The Lancaster race. You know which races I'm talking about.

So, when my brother in law asked if I wanted to do the Buffalo Marathon puzzle, I thought eh probably not everyone takes that too seriously. But, then he said we could chug a beer during and suddenly he had my attention.

If you are one of the thousands of people who missed running the Buffalo Marathon Memorial Day weekend, they have not forgotten about you. There is their new Summer Puzzle challenge: you finish a full marathon, half marathon, a 10K and a 5K, for a total distance of 48.6 miles. As you finish each one, they will give you a puzzle piece, 4 pieces total that will eventually complete a 'medal'.

The cost is $60 and all of the money raised will go to non-profits who have supported the Marathon over the years.

I'm sure you could have guessed but if you're getting ready for next year, the date is set for May 30, 2021 at 6 am.
