Buffalo Sabres Still Winless to Start the Season
Jack Eichel says he's sick of losing. He should. The Buffalo Sabres remained winless on Thursday night with a 3-2 loss against the San Jose Sharks in the first of a four-game western road trip.
Jason Pominville scored both Buffalo goals, his second two-goal game of the season. Eichel assisted on both goals while Robin Lehner stopped 23 shots as the Sabres slipped to 0-3-1 to start the season.
The Sabres power play, that was so lethal last year, has converted for only two goals in four games this year. They had a 5 on 3 advantage during the game but failed to convert. One sign of progress though, they didn't allow a shorthanded goal.
It doesn't get any easier for the Sabres. They play in Los Angeles against the Kings on Saturday night.
