Kansas City Defender’s Surprise Comment About Playing In Buffalo
The Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills have played 7 times against each other in the last 4 years. Sunday will make 8, but this time, the game will be played here.
These two teams are incredibly familiar with each other. They've played each other so much it would be easy to forget that they aren't actually in the same division. Of the last 7 games, 5 of them have been played in Kansas City. The Bills normally have the upper hand in the regular season, but the Bills have not been able to beat the Bills in the post-season, even last year when the Chiefs came to Buffalo on a cold snowy night in January.
Most players describe playing in Buffalo as "difficult." Some say it's loud and that they would much rather be at home.
This comment from Chris Jones surprised some people
While Kansas City's defensive end Chris Jones might actually prefer to be playing in Kansas City this weekend, he never let on. He surprisingly went so far as to say that playing in Buffalo is "enjoyable."
He thinks it's enjoyable playing in Buffalo? If the tape stopped there, we would think he was out of his mind. But it's the next words that come out of his mouth that explain what it is that is "enjoyable."
It's all about the wings.
He did go on to mention that Bills Mafia is a lot like their fan base (they're called Chief's Kingdom, fyi). He gave Bills fans credit saying that they were "very in tune, very passionate about their team." He knows that the crowd will have an impact on this game saying that when they play the Bills, they play their fans too.
He says he's going to eat about 50 wings while he's here and we're all hoping that he does. Have you ever eaten a bunch of wings and then gone out to run around. It doesn't feel good.
The Bills will take on the Chiefs this Sunday at 4:25 pm at Highmark Stadium.
