Did You See This On TV 20 Years Ago?

Growing up, my father was a big time NBC Nightly News fan. Tom Brokaw was a staple in our family. As a matter of fact, we didn't even think about eating our family dinners until after the news was over. Yes, I said family dinners. That was back in those days when families actually sat down to eat together.What's more is that us kids were not allowed to leave the table until dad was finished with his meal! I swear there were nights that dad was the SLOWEST eater in the world. We just wanted to go out an play!

I was 13 years old when this tornado hit Kansas and I remember we watched the footage on the evening news!! In today's world, capturing something so surreal is an every day thing. Flip cams and cell phones have made access to such footage simple. I think the most amazing part of this story is that the people under the overpass survived. You can really get a feel for the fear that they must have had when you see the little girl crying after the twister passes by. Look as though the person that uploaded this video recorded it on a VCR!!!!
